I have been seriously contemplating Adriatic blue for my project car but I would really like to see one in daylight.

I don't remember seing any at Bruce's swap meet (although I left early) or at Rennsport V.

If you have one (with Glasurit paint even better ) in the L.A. area, I would like to meet up.

I don't want to rely on pictures where you get 50 shades of Adriatic...

Adriatic Blue is one of the best colors on a 914 IMHO.

I think pictures #2 and #4 are Adriatic. #1 looks like Ancona blue.. ?

I'm also wanting to put my eyes on an Adriatic blue 914. I'm up in the PNW. Any know of any up here? Feel free to email me at:

My favorite color on the 914.

My dad helped a friend fix a broken valve on an early 914 when it was only a few years old. I was around 10 years old. Always loved that color ever since.

Hi Alex I just stumbled on this old post. I live in Seattle and have an Adriatic blue 914.
It’s on stands now for another week or so but I work in Bothell so could meet near there sometime soon if your still interested in seeing the color. It’s a bit faded but passable.

There was an adriatic blue 6 at the Parade last week. Had non-original seat fabric and the narrow '67 style Fuch wheels, otherwise looked nice. Got DQ'ed in the concours for some reason...

Reviving this post... If anyone has an Adriatic blue car in the greater LA, I would love to meet at some point.

I saw this car at RR VII. I am pretty sure it is Adriatic blue but would appreciate if one could confirm. Thank you!

I think Margie’s factory six is Adriatic Blue. You do have to see them in person. The Phoenix club car show is where I saw all the blues in person and chose Alaska Blue. Everyone has different tastes and some are more anal on the color matching the year of the car. My car is a 75.

Bummer but the Phoenix club is no more. They moved it to the boys club in Corona. It was supposed to be tomorrow, but they cancelled it do to the grass being to muddy for the cars.
