So the time has come where I am considering selling my 74 914 2.0

With winter approaching and being busy with work and home, I am looking for a local sale at this time where the prospective buyer can come look at the car and drive it

It is an excellent driver and runs as good as any stock 2.0 can

Drive it as is or do a restoration on it

If you are interested, within driving distance, and want to know more, call me on my cell six-oh-three-502-seventy-five, eighty after 5 pm EST or other agreed upon time

Any and all questions will be honestly answered in person or on the phone, but I won’t be posting 50 pictures of every conceivable thing (but will post a few more later) or posting the life story of the car here

If there is no interest now I will have more time in the spring to put together a more cohesive ad and offer it nationally

I have owned it since the spring of 2011 and put about 24k on it

The car is going into storage within the week. I will re-offer the car in the spring.

So I dial 502 7058 (in state so 603 not necessary) and it seems to belong to someone not named Scott...

Mark I tried to answer your call, but I didn't make it (only range twice).
Give me call again if you can right now or let me know a time you are not at work to talk.
I don't have any current pictures that would answer very many of your questions and don't have time to take them so a conversation followed by a personal look at the car is the way it needs to go.
I will at least try and get a picture of the interior - not perfect but very nice.
It is a very good running djet car.

To anyone interested in this car I can say I recently had the pleasure of experiencing this car in person and it runs fantastic!
Very strong runner, shifts great, sounds great.
It was a complete blast and has set the bar pretty high for what I expect from mine (if I ever get it running!)

The car is still for sale until the weather changes and it goes into the garage for the winter.

If you have any interest - now is the time!

Damn, this is one of those cars that I can't believe is still available. I wish I could buy it but my Six is still a work in progress. GLWTS.

Complete disclosure: the car is originally Phoenix red.

It is currently painted in whatever Porsche calls their black metallic.

It was painted in the late 90's.

Cold weather brings about a lot of disinterest in little verts.. I am in MA and interested but I would have to unload my STS miata first and the autox season is over so the chances of that happening are slim to none. If it ends up in storage and is still available in the spring, I'll come knocking. In the meantime, glws.

Actually considering the lack of photos and local sale only approach I have had a good amount of interested and a reasonable offer that was close, but not enough to buy the car.

That said, I would say there is a 50:50 chance of the car being around in the spring.

In this one you can see the metallic charcoal color better, but it does appear black most of the time.
scott_in_nh
The car will remain for sale until the snow and/or salt flies.

When that is imminent it will go into storage until it thaws and the roads are clear.

In the spring the market will be stronger, I might get a few more things done on it, and the price may go up, so if you are thinking about it now is the time!
