Cleaning up the Tennesee car, raised the headlights to clean underneath and found these on the car. Anyone see these before?

White headlight surrounds where an option or maybe standard with some paint colors on early cars. I think they were all black by '72-'73.

Also notice that the retaining ring is chrome, one on black surround cars are painted black.

They are nice looking though, I have some, don't see them that often.

Ok, that makes sence. This car was ordered with the L96E paint code (Gemini Blue)

The blue looks a lot better than the crappy yellow it is now. If I had a more powerfull preasure washer, I bet I could get more of the yellow off.
