Hi All,

I was replacing the vacuum lines on my '74 2.0 this evening and discovered that the line from the air filter that disappears into the area near the left rear wheel had a plug inserted into it.

I can't imagine that the plug is supposed to be there but figured I should ask. See photo.

Well, there shouldn't be any lines disappearing into the left-rear wheel area.

If you mean the front-left corner of the engine bay, that's a different matter. That's one of the lines for the charcoal filter system.

Vacuum lines, in general, should not be plugged.
