Just got back the 15x6.5 Minilites from the paint shop.
They were horribly slow and over budget, but do look good in the end.

The tires are Yokohama S-Drive 205/55R15 and look perfect on the wheels.
Should give my stock/narrow body car a nice stance and footprint.

Sourcing some kind of center cap for those big 3" holes in the wheel centers.

Now just need to get the rest of the car finished so I can mount them and drive off into the sunset...

Up in Boring.
Friend of Cary.
My 1st P car was a 76 914.
Had a couple of 911's since.
Now have a 71 914 that's going thru a total build....might take some time. wink.gif

The other day, I talked to a guy who had the same problem with the centre cap on his wheels. He ended up with a piece of black PFTE-ish material that he shaped on a lathe! Looks great and was relatively cheap to fabricate.

I have the same wheels (painted gold to contrast with my black 76) and have had no luck finding center caps. Emails to the Minilite US distributor go unanswered. I'll be anxious to hear if you find something that works.

My brother in laws 72 has center caps. They look to be custom made. Bought the car from the original owner about 6yrs ago. This is not the best picture, but I will see if he can email me a few better pics.

If I remember correctly the original center caps almost looked like a bullet . confused24.gif

I had minilites on my 70 and loved them. I didn't have center caps for mine either.

They look awesome!!! drooley.gif
Whats the color called?

I don't see 6.5" on their website...or 4 lug stocked wheels smile.gif

I should have bought Garolds when I had the chance headbang.gif

Not sure if these have been available from Minilite for many eons.
They require special lug bolts.

I'm thinking of giving these center caps a try, but likely either wheel color or a satin black.

If they don't work out, I'll come up with something custom utilizing these:

How are you going to fix the speedo after changing tire sizes from stock??
ConeDodger
Minilites have pretty traditionally been run without center caps by us racer dudes... driving.gif

Won't plan on changing it.
I don't think affect the reading all that much.

But I could....
As I'm having all the gauges reconditioned by North Hollywood Speedometer and they easily recalibrate at that time.
