Hey everyone, haven't been on here in a while but I'm working on the car again and have a question.

I'm replacing the input shaft seal on the transmission and I have a seal kit. the input shaft seal in the kit has a smaller outer diameter than the seal that is currently in the transmission.

The seal in the transmission right now has these markings
"KACO DS 22.40.11 / 16 / 2"

The seal in the kit is an Elring 22.2x40x12/17

The inner diameter of the seals appears to be the same.

I attached some pictures so you guys can see what I'm dealing with. Anyone run into this issue before and know where to source the seal with the larger outer diameter?

That Elring seal is the correct part, I still have the box from the one I recently installed on a 914 transaxle, it's the same part #/dimensions as the one you have in your hand (22.2x40x12/17).
