30 feet? 2 x 15 foot sections?

also.... has anyone ever run oil lines like the V8 guys run their water lines? (in the 2 channels under the car?)

also.... i have the option of running -8,-10, or -12 AN line........

cooler can be made with any fitting.......

type 4 motor....a six someday...... -10?

where to run the lines???? going with aeroquip blue hose.....
under the car? througfh the longs? or in the rockers......???

im partial to the v8 way.... smaller hoses..... should be safe.....

oh yea dont get the hose cut into sections.. buy 20 feet and when you start plumbing the oils system fit each piece, cutting the shortest piece first..

i can buy 2 15 foot sections for ~45 bucks each with 2 included fittings

where to route the hose though......

if i go under the car...... like the v8 guys.... thats a straight and EASY shot to the front cooler......
wonder what blue hose does if it gets compressed....

Drill holes in the wheelhouse and route into the front trunk.

No 90 degree bends as the hose will pinch. Straight as possible for good flow.

Thru the longs, they are protected if you put grommets to protect it where it runs thru the metal. Otherwise, it will eventually abrade and leak.

Under the car, you run the risk of a puncture from a rock or ??????

ok..through the longs/heater tube....into the front fender...and somehow into the tub......

left or right side long?

when the lines enter the tub, BEHIND the front fender.... where is that? is that under the gas tank? if so... thats the way im gonna do it....

If you're going to use -12 lines with a T-IV engine, I think you're going to have a pressure problem. Sixes run the cooler in the scavenge circuit, where pressure isn't an issue. Since the four doesn't have a scavenge circuit, you're pumping all the oil with the pressure pump, which I don't think will be able to handle that kind of volume.

My four had -10 lines for my front-mount cooler, which worked fine, but when I got the six, I had to re-plumb with -12.

The problem is that -10 is the max for a four and -12 is the minimum for a six.

There's no cross-over size that works for both.
