Rather than the taco plate route I want to use the appropriate oil temp sending drain plug. It's for a 300 degree VDO Cockpit gauge.
I see them advertised but want to make sure it fits. They are said to be 14M x 1.5. I have a 1.7.
Maybe someone has one for sale? ...if not maybe I can confirm the hole size?

Got one. I have both styles. The late short one or long one for the taco plate. Tried test fit in drain plug and the will NOT fit it. Your choice $24.99 shipped.

Need this for the oil drain plug hole....where we drain the oil from...I think it's M15x1.5 ? M14 ?
