Ok,

Do 73 914 bilstien sport strut inserts fit in a 911 1984 boge strut?

I need new struts on the 911 and I would prefer to buy koni adjustables for the 914.

So, given that the bilstiens still work on the 914, just wondering if they are the same?

According to Pelican Parts online catalog they are the same insert part number.

I see that, just wanted some first hand knowledge.

Yep, they sure do. Just make sure that you have the gland nut that fits them. Bilstein has a special one. biggrin.gif

Well, I have the bilstiens in my 914 already, with the gland nut.
I will order the koni's with a new nut.

Now, I have had a clunk in the 914 ever since I put these struts in.
I read recently there is a spacer that goes around the base of the inserts?
Has that been my issue all along with the bilstiens?

I am running the Bilstein Sports without a spacer. I initially had a clunk when cartridge nut backed off. I started using blue loctite on them and clunk went away. Nut stays right and insert does not clunk.
