I'm working on a 1.8 with a 1.7 d-jet. do you time it like a 1.7? Or a 1.8? There are no timing marks on the fan. I can make some, but not sure what advance to use. I'm getting one loud backfire, and fire out the tail pipe when rapidly closing throttle at high rpms. Vacuum leak?

Thanks in advance. Curt

you have entered uncharted territory. you might be on your own. how about putting car on a dyno to get optimum timing?

simple question simple answer, if the dizzy is a 1.8 dizzy then go with 1.8 specs, if its a 1.7/2.0 dizzy go with the specs for that. the dizzy is what matters not the fi.

Well, that does make sense. I will check the #for sure, but I'm "assuming" the l-jet diz won't work with the d-jet anyway. wacko.gif
