Building a 2056 (maybe a 2270) and need to source dual Dellortos (40s I presume). Prefer the Dellortos to Webers - I have much experience with the Dells.
Interested in the carbs, air cleaners, linkage and intake runners. I am capable of rebuilding, looking for good condition pieces.
Will pay fair price.

I have a good working set that is still on my Creamsicle. My plan is to change back to 2.0L(now 1.8l) with d-jet as it was before. Take mine if you can wait till next month.
Thanks,
kkid

One of my favorite carbs, 40 dellortos. When you find a set get the idle jet doctors about 35 dollars from CB performance.

What are the significance of those? Wish I'd caught your reference earlier, I just bought a couple of rebuild kits from CB that are already in transit.

This kit moves the idle and progression circuit's air supply off the bottom of the carb, up high where it's clean! This kit "extends" the idle air circuit's air supply to a location where no "junk" is going to make it's way into the carburetor, where it will wreck havoc on your precisely sized orifaces, specifically the progression holes and the idle mixture screw area! ............This a direct cut and paste from the CB Jet Doctor Web site.........It really does the job and is very well worth the cost, which is very little.

Bump this from OP.
If anyone has dual Dells available sooner than KKID (above) please PM me. I will pull the trigger quickly.
If I can find a nice/clean/useable pair sooner it'd be great. I just dropped serious $$$$ with Type IV Store and parts ship tomorrow or Monday.
LH RS+ heads coming mid-February, so I don't want to stall the project.
KKID - if I can't source any before yours become available I will let you know - still interested...
I am familiar with the CB idle correction product(s), ran them on my '76 Westy with excellent driveability/idle.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1881131U can probably negotiate down to $325-350. But u will need to buy type 4 manifolds from cb performance.

https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/pts/5386111327.htmlStart at 300 and work your way up. Tell him to keep the manifold as u won't need them
Good link on eBay for 2 rebuild kits .
