shoulda bought these instead

these allow you to use 986 or 996 rotors

ebay? use the same 911 bearings? what year to what year will they fit?

they use stock 911 bearings and wheelstuds

that is how I originally wanted to do the vented rotors for the 4-lug cars......cut off the cast rotor and slide on a rotor just like that.......some of the 911 guys are already doing that using the rear rotors on the front hubs.......

for that design, you wouldn't even have to buy one.....heck, your standard 911 hubs will do the same thing, the only difference should be is the location of the face, did they move it inboard to compensate for the thickness of the rotor hub??

You chuck the 911 hub in a lathe and trim so the disc fits, then you center the caliper over the disc via shims.

This is one of the great benefits of radial mounted calipers, is that you can easily adjust them in two planes. versus the lug mount calipers ability to only be adjusted in one plane

Mine look like the same rotors above (996TT) and they're mounted to the outside of '77 911 hubs.

I took the hubs and rotors to my machinist and told him to make the rotor a press fit. He had to remove about .030 off the hub to make it fit.
