Checking timing on my '73 2.0 and all my shop manuals, etc are back in IA...

Anyone have an image of the fan that shows relationship of marks to the fan fins and thicker fan supports? Trying to remember approximate advance with the first thicker fin.
Doing timing with Mallory distributor and Webers.

TIA.

No pic, but the stock 2.0 27 degree btdc mark is just to the passenger side of the first fin to the passenger side of the thick web.

I have a mallory and webers and I time through the back of the engine bay with a variable timing light.
There is supposed to be a mark at 0deg TDC on the flywheel.

I recognize the picture, but what does the 2 mean?

According to Racer Chris, my timing with the Mallory and the Webers should be 34 adv, not 27 like with FI.

So I might try using TDC and the adv setting on the timing light...

i labeled those wide ribs as my own reference point. if memory serves, if I manually turn the motor slowly, I would see main rib 1, then main rib 2, etc

Last image- perfect! Thx.

(and if the Packers play like they have lately, I'll have more time to play with this...)
