I have a customer car with a DIS IX ignition system. The car runs great, but the tach does not.

I purchased the tach adapter and wired it to the harness.

Anyone with experience?

I suspect it would work with an Autometer type...

I agree, GREAT ignition, but can't help you with the tach output. Back when I ran it CBPerformance were the experts because it was big with off-roaders. They're really helpful so if you don't get an answer here try them, or maybe directly with Compufire for their help with the diagnosis.

Tachadapt,bought mine direct off Bob (Ashlocktech) really good guy,helped with back up email in one hour,many of the 911 guys on Pelican use these,rumour has it they are better than the MSD unit which sometimes won't work in all applications.
