As per wtb,our country is fully metric and has been for a long time now,need a speedo that is working, not worried about cosmetics as can sort,must have a good gauge face however.

Try Ebay Germany has some for E 300. Other option is to have North Hollywood or Palo Alto Speedometer convert one which would be cheaper and ready to go.

I've thought about buying a kph speedo, but I grew up on both metric and Standard (imperial), so I'm bilingual.

50kph = 30mph
60kph = 40mph
80kph = 50mph
100kph =60mph
125kph = 75mph

Now that is an average conversion as 100kph is really 62mph and 125kph is really 77.5 mph.
What you can do is paint a red dot at the important kph (or some use km/h) points. You likely only have to mark 4-5 points.

Note some use km/h or kph, both ways are correct.
