Here is my mostly collected rear suspension setup...

From the top down...

9x16 Fuchs - dual annodized rough and clear

Trailing Arm Reinforcement Pieces

Mueller's Trailing Arm Needle Bearings (From the Korijo Auction plus the setup for the front A-Arms)

Early 911 Hubs and Stub Axles and studs (need to be bead blasted)

New annodized lug nuts

Bilstein Sports with H&R Springs and Adjustable Perches

New Bearings

I finally took all the crap out of boxes and decided to start laying out parts by sytem and organize stuff in bins and on tables.

Regards,
seanery

I'm using the same 8's when mine is flared (took em off my 951 and put BoxS wheels on).
TRE makes a 9 that looks like the old 10 and that is going on the rear.

Looking good Karl..

I'm going to use 8's and 9's on the 3.6 car.. and do the wheels EXACTLY the way you did them. This is my favorite look for the Fuchs. I first saw them done this way on a 80's poster with a convertable red slant nose wide body car. I have loved the looks since then. It will really look good against a black car.

Thanks... I have seen a few pics of some European GTs in Yellow and Red with these wheels... drool!

Karl,

I know this has been discussed in various posts before, but what combination of rear hubs, stub axles, bearings, CV joints, axles, and drive flanges are you using to go to five lugs at the rear? Thanks.

Karl,

Did you send your wheels to WE and have them done? Or did you buy them direct from them? How much? I'm interested in that finish for my set of 4 6x15's.
Qarl
I would check with Al Reed (check the Pelican 911 board for his phone number). he can probably do it cheaper than Wheel Enhancement.

I bought my wheels from them, but I think they want $160 or so per wheel for the dual annodized (rough clear) finish. This was for larger 8x16 and 9x16 wheels. It may be less for smaller wheels.

But check with Al Reed first... he is much cheaper and does as good if not better work

Essentially they annodize the entire wheel in the clear finish, then block off the padles and rims and bead blast the background for a dull (rough) finish.

Here is another (generic) shot.

Thanks
