I've been doing a five lug conversion and so I am now gonna be using A calipers. So I had to get a 19mm master cylinder. Today it arrived and to my suprise, since I bought it for only 50$, it appeared to be brand new.
I just got finished taking the old one out of the car when I noticed something. Both the old MC that was on the car and the new one I just got looked the same. They both have a big 19(I'm assuming thats the size) on the bottom. So I just bought a MC that I didnt actually need. Apparently the PO must have installed one and all this time I never knew.
The number on the MC is what size it is right?

Yep ... not how old it is.
No ... just over-zealous, that's all.

Well I guess the brightside is that I dont have to worry about my MC for a while now that its new/newer. Also I don't think that I'll have a problem selling the other one.

I did the same thing. I pulled mine out and was like.. "Sweet!"
But then I realized that it was BAD, so it didn't matter if it was 199mm, it needed replacing.
