I have a 74 1.8 that I would like to restore
Thanks

I do reabuilds on transmissions and shipping is reasonable and easy. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Do you have a rebuilt transmission you can sell me? I would prefer to just buy a replacement thats ready to go rather than wait on mine to be repaired.
Thanks

Try Jorge at European Motor Works in Hawthorne for your motor rebuild.

Go to Costco and get a heavy duty plastic container and ship it to the doc.
For the motor EMW or FAT. If you are doing just a stock rebuild EMW.

The Costco totes are hard plastic and more likely to break during shipment. The suggested container is one of the big Rubbermaid totes. They are $15-17 at Walmart IIRC. Easier to drill holes around the top lip for zip ties too.

Dr. Evil is the way too go. We have two transmissions by Mr. Evil and they both perform flawlessly!

Contact Doug (mrbubblehead) ... he rebuilds transaxles too. Send him a PM to see if he has any 'in stock'. He's out in Calimesa.
