I need some input from you guys running IDFs. I have always had what I think
is a lean 'pop' from both carbs when you are running at a steady rpm and go
to slight throttle tip-in. Large throttle openings are fine, idle is great,
top end is great. It's just bad enough to be really irritating while running
at driving is traffic. Any hints?

Make sure your accelerator pump linkage is operating at very small openings. The linkage could be sloppy and not be opening.

if you take the filters off you should be able to notice which one is sneezing as you throttle up at the linkage. you might try the idle air adjust screw on that one.

Agree-prolly a accel pump jet clogged--maybe not all the way--easy to see by looking down the float and opening the throttle --

The pop was ramdom from side to side. I backed the timing off a bit and problem solved.
Thanks all...
