Hi All,

Now that engine is out I am thinking I may as well replace the oil cooler and seals.

I see oil coolers ranging in price from about $60 to over $400 (genuine Porsche), and everywhere in between. Most are mystery manufacturers like "OEM Brand"

Anyone have experience or suggestions with any specific brands.

I just ordered the Genuine German Made VW one with VW Stampings. I assume it is the same as for the 914 ...

If it has a VW part number it's a VW part.

Most of the /4 engine parts are VW, with a few exceptions of reworked parts like 3 bolt heads. Cooler is the same all through '72-83 VW bus, type 4 cars and the 914.
