I have the 3 console gauges in a box and want to see if they work. I think the clock will be easy. Power on. How do I test the volt meter and temp gauges out of the car. I'm not electrical inclined so detailed instruction are appreciated.

Thanks

Volt and clock is easy. Put power leads to it, positive to + and ground to neg.

Thanks. I'm 2/3s there. If these test out ok they'll go in the classifieds. Help for the temp guage testing?

Oil temp: Hook (+) to a 12V battery (+) terminal, and the ground to the battery ground. Hook ground to the sender terminal (G) and see if the gauge pegs.

If you want to test it in more specifics than that, either get a potentiometer (variable resistor) or several resistors and hook a wire from G to the resistor and the other end of the resistor to ground. Lower resistance should make for a higher temperature reading, and higher resistance for a lower reading.
