Hey Guys,
Is there anything better than getting an NLA part which is now back in production and brand new from Stuttgart? Well, maybe there are better things...but not in my garage
I thought I'd share the joy.

I got a pair of NOS ones from Rich Bontempi in late 2014, & he told me that the newer replacement axles have a different spline count at the CVs, so they won't match up with the original 914 CVs to replace just the CVs should they be needed in the future, but will only fit the new part no. CVs.
If yours are the same new production superceded part nos. too, then be aware of that for the future, as a FYI.
Nice score, & it makes more sense & more economical to just do all 4 CVs + both axles for not much more than the CVs were, when still available. Hopefully Porsche will now also sell the CVs separately in the near future. IIRC the CVs are the same as on the early 911/912.
Great Score!
Tom
