My car is black but parts of it are still yellow. So, does that make it "partially" fast?
I think the correct term is "half fast".
Back in 1969 my first car was a RED `68 Opel Kadett B 2dr Notchback with a measely 1.1L I-4 & not particularly fast, but I kept getting pulled over.
So my Dad & I went to the neighbor who was a San Diego Police LT & asked why.
He said that cops target bright colors - Red first, then Orange, Yellow, then any of the other bright Greens, Blues, Purples, etc.
So the Cops then & now certainly
think that color makes for a fast car!
.... or at least a driver who likes those colors has a propensity to speed.
So add radar/laser detectors & eyes in the back of your head folks!
This cop hunting color issue was why I changed my `76 repaint of my `73 914-2L from the 75 914 Copper Metallic - which looked metallic Orange in the sun - to my "Pavement Cammo" color of the 930 Anthracite Gray metallic in the `80-83 rolling resto - & my being pulled over stopped, while my driving style in it remained the same!
Cheers!
Tom
