I tried some of that blue stuff around the speedo drive unit (Brad suggested to use ) & it din't last long. Started dripping in a couple days.

Would it be safe to use a clear silicone calk to seal it? I put in a new O ring but that din't work either.

What else can be done other than rebuilding that area of the tranny?

I smeared some JB weld around it. Yo! It don't leak no mo. Fogetaboudit.
