I'm celebrating my b-day. I have one last 914 build ahead of me and want to find a decent 3/70 build date - the same month / year of my birth.

Its proving not as easy as you'd think. From what I can tell the range is from about

4702904200 - 4702906000

but there's some inconsistencies in there....

Really just looking for a tub.....

Any ideas.... confused24.gif

Ambitious project. I like it. smile.gif

If you want to be sure, find 4702905100.

West coast issues. We just try to find cars that don't fold in half.

My car is two months too old for you...can't have it anyway evilgrin.gif

Good luck in your search!

This one is in the range, but seems too nice...

looks like a pretty nice car, not far from me either(within 3-4 hours). if I were looking for a second car, that would be nice. - would like to see the hell hole and longs with rockers off first though......

You're dead on. Little bit of rolling the dice on this one...

Looks like a pretty original car. Front bumper being replaced raises an eyebrow. And the Porsche identity crisis (badging) is dumb. I have an original muffler for it. wink.gif

Hey, I'm a 3/70, too. Happy upcoming birthday you old fart!

I'd like to find a 10/76 but that's impossible! I'd have to look at 924s, 928s, and 911s I guess, but I don't want any of those.

Happy birthday! Sounds like an interesting project. You've got me thinking though if I was to do this and use a Porsche I'd have to go to Click to view attachment 1946 and I think it would not only be very hard to find but way beyond my ability to pay for. Good luck on your new build.

Interestingly my last build will not be too far off....

This is not unusual.

I have a March build 1963 MGB in the queue for restoration....built within two days of my birthdate! I am always looking for any interesting car built on the exact day of my birth.

A good friend of mine from HS only collects cars from 1963...he has a pretty nice collection including an XKE, 356, Impala SS 409 and others.

Thats when my six was built, will be expensive though.

I'm 6/70 and my six is too smilie_pokal.gif

so, maybe you should extend your search to about 914.043.0750 - 914.043.1100 biggrin.gif

Yep,that was my aim too.11/70 for me. I know where one is,ticks all the boxes...I'm working on it!
what is the exact # range for 11/70?
cheers
Gustl
there is nothing like an exact range
it's just a good guess, based on data info of known cars

11/70 might be somewhere between 914.143.0070 - 914.143.0140

that's for a /6....would be my choice of weapon but well out of my budget.
I'd be interested in the range for a normal /4 though
thanks for the info!

11/70 will be a '71. Look up member VINs to approximate. That's how I did it....
EdwardBlume
Fwiw- I won't bid on this one because it's too nice. The search goes on....
