Need help bad. Pulled my left front strut down today to tighten the gland nut that holds the insert in place. It had come loose. Now for the life of me I cannot get the shock back up thru the hole and bushing so I can secure the top nut inside the trunk. How can it be done with the dust cover on the shock?? I have no way to grab the shaft to push it up. I tried a jack under the suspension arm but that just compresses the shock. All the procedures I've read say this is easy as pie. How do I do it ???!!!

Help appreciated!!

I use an old clutch cable to screw into the top of the shock and pull it through.
