Today I was able to remove the original doors off the car and replace them with two pretty solid doors.. The original doors where rusted through on the bottoms, but I would like switch out the Factory tinted windows from the rusted doors to the replacement doors.

Will the heavier duty window regulators in the 74 doors retro fit into the 71 doors? The 71 window mechanics don't seem as stout as the ones out of the 74 door? looks like a different bolt up pattern but doable.

Does anyone have experience with doing this?

In the classic thread " digging into hell" the owner converts the early doors to use the later regulators. He uses a piece of the late doors so don't throw them away yet.
