I noticed a while back a thread here of several persons looking for cars close to their birth date . Today when looking at cars F/S on pelican, I ran across a
1966 911 that had a build date of January 25!!!

Problem is its more than my budget for a 911 ( ive been shopping under $30k)
So this will not happen, but would have been cool. Car listed at $78k

One of best friends in high school had a '66 Mustang with my Birthday build date of 04/05/1966, even produced in the local to us Fremont Ford plant.

I bet he wishes that he had kept it

You should buy it for yourself as a belated 50th birthday present. Seriously.

I'm too old to have had one built on my birthday but it was really fun to see that the pre-delivery inspection sticker that is in the driver door jam of my 914 is dated 6/22/73 which was my 16th birthday! If only that car could have been my 16th birthday gift.

Same B-day as my wife, Doc Phil - belated birthday3.gif

Not seeing it's condition, that sounds like a decent price for an early SWB 911 from what I've been seeing. Around SoCal several fellow PCA members have "cashed in" their "auto piggy banks" by selling their early 911s at mostly 6 figures.

Good Luck with the search! beerchug.gif

I've told him the same thing. Told him he should make an offer. Early cars will never be cheap again. He's not "buying" into that thought process smile.gif

It's only money and yes I'm still looking for a 3/70 car.
