1970 1.7 Liter. Finishing Trans seal replacement job.
Getting this thing out was easy. How the heck do you get the pin back in ?
I couldn't align every thing from the back (tail end) side of the trans. But no leverage from the inside. Is there a special tool or trick ?
This is what I have so far:Click to view attachment

I recently did this job on my '70 1.7. Had a hard time removing the roll pin on mine.

I reinstalled from the tail...had the transmission out and upside down which made access a little easier. I used a good sized chisel resting on flat side on top of the pin, then tapped the side of the chisel to drive the pin far enough to get a "suitable drift" on it to seat it fully. Hope this makes sense/helps.
