Selling 1972 1.7L Ivory White, $10,000 obo
Garaged it's whole life, daily driver, minimal surface rust, no rust on hell hole, longs never opened
Total miles believed to be 140K, 99k in first 41 yrs, 40k highway by me in last 30 months
Rebuilt original engine in 2007 about 40K miles ago by PO mechanic (docs: written build sheet, no receipts)
Rebuilt side shift transaxle in 2014 about 35K miles ago by Dr. Evil, all new bearings
Original color respray 10-15 Years ago, 10 footer with a couple door dings
5 New tires 195/65 on 4 original Fuchs 2.0, with FauxFuchs spare
PO bought from original owner after 12 months in Portland, OR and kept it for 40 years in Redmond, OR (dry high desert) and Sacramento
Currently licensed in Palo Alto

Thanks! Great car, great community. It's been a fun driver to commute between Bend and Palo Alto.

It sold BECAUSE it had an Dr Evil transmission. That transmission still has 59,000 miles on the 99,000 mile warranty! But after 2+ years and 36k miles that tranny is just getting broken in. Many more miles left on that puppy.

Congrats on a quick sale. See what happens when the seller puts a reasonable price on a decent 914. I am sure being in the $$$$$ Bay Area doesn't hurt either.
