Last night I got the new clutch cable and I was trying to get the boot onto the new cable but the boot opening looks too small to fit over the end of the cable . Any tricks to getting the boot over the end of the cable without ripping it ?

Do it carefully with a little grease. Drop the boot in a mug of boiling water for a few minutes to soften it up so it stretches easier. It will go on ........or invest in some sleeve stretching pliers.

Yep, that's the easy way. The first time I put one of those on, I had only some needle-nose pliers and hot water. Took a while. With those, it's a few seconds.
