Got a 914 and 2.0 emblem that's been painted to match the car. What works to remove the paint without mucking up the original finish?

If it's the earlier gold or black anodized metal ones, then you can use acetone & Q-tips to gently coax that paint off.

Apply some acetone, let it sit a bit til the paint bubbles up a bit, then work the paint off gently with the Q-tips.

If it's the later painted metal ones, then it may take the original black paint off too, but you can repaint them flat or matte black as original.

The anodized ones can also be re-anodized in black or gold, but Black was the color to go with the 2.0 badge.

Good Luck! beerchug.gif

Thanks.

They're off the white 73. Look to be chrome thru the chips. Tarnished black aluminum back side on the 2.0?

The chrome would look sharper on a black car smile.gif
