Was just cleaning up the top I received with the car and found same cracking on both the topside and bottom side for one of the rear mounts. Originated from one of the fasteners. What is the material these tops were made of ?? Fiberglass ?? What is repair prospects ?? Top is good in all other respects. Will need paint as it is 46 years old !!Click to view attachment

Yes, fiberglass, which can be repaired with gel coat after you strip off the top paint & underside "mousefur" perlon headliner - & the "pebbly" semi-matte finish on it now is the correct which you'll want to replace. Search the O&H Forum for one of a few topics on refinishing them.

That said, you may be able to find a good top from a parts car for less time & money.
