My 1973 stock 1.7 seemed to be running rich. It would die on idle after it warmed up. It would run fine at first but then when it got warmed up (I'm assuming) it would die if I didn't stay in the gas and then it wouldn't restart until it had set for a while.

It started acting up pretty bad so a parked it for a week. Now when I start it up its like I have the gas to the floor until I turn it off. (don't want to do that to many times). I checked the throttle and its not stuck, at least as far as I can tell from looking at it without taking anything apart.

Anyone have a clue where I should start looking?

Thanks!

I was thinking vacuum leak as well. I'll print out a vacuum diagram and check it out tomorrow. New hoses seem to be pretty affordable. Thanks!
