Located in Wisconsin, no price listed, taking best offer.

So, potential or parts?

The cowl picture indicates what may be hiding elsewhere. My guess is there's going to be a lot of mouse turd included in the sale.
Porschef
I agree with Kevin about the turds, but with the poor pics it's hard to tell exactly what's going on; looks like a poor paint job over the original that may explain what might appear as rust. Also, with the BUBs, it's a 75 or 76.

If your weather is anything like it is here today, hop in your car and have a look. You're gonna have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your princess.

Or something like that... blink.gif

Sometimes the seller is willing to take photos of areas you specify, however If you are not willing to go and pyhysically look at potential cars chance are you will miss the one that you were looking for, but never made the effort to go and look at.

Also I would try and ascertain what there bottom dollar is before getting to interested.

agree.gif Doesn't look like a parts car to me, but you never know til you put eyes on it. You could post a request for a ppi here, but you're better off looking at it yourself.

3 year project and $20k. It hasn't moved in 22 years. Plenty of time for generations of pinkies to be raised in it.

Was there a law in the '80s requiring all 914s be painted red?

It was one of those covert government operations.....
Al Gore did it before he invented the Internet ....

Potential...or Parts car?

Yes ...
Mark Henry
With the prices beginning to explode on these cars more and more parts cars are now becoming potential.
Geezer914
Like the dog said when he backed into the grindstone: RUFF!

Parts car.....Yes
Potential......how much fun do you want to have?
Its rusty. Windshield area near the antenna is difficult to repair. There is also rust behind the front wheel. My 914 was in similar condition and I paid 1K. My build thread is in Pelican Parts.
It will require dedication to bring back. Save the Porsche!

Regards

Claus

Looks like it's had water dripping on it for years, specially the front cowl pic. But there are tons of good looking parts inside, plus missing title status. I'd lean towards parts car but it sounds cheap enough not to pass on. A working 1.8FI is worth $500 easily.

Parts car,it really doesn't present well, poor quality repaint, and rust on the cowl as rhodyguy pointed out.
Certainly looks like a damp storage area, dirt floor and rusted wheels.......run away from this one. sad.gif

Yes

Oh and this car is far too gone for me personally. I was just curious.

It's a '75
All '76s were 2.0s weren't they ?
Why red ?
The original color was the best blue ever.
mb911
I saw it too. I believe they should be saved.. They just don't make them anymore and I know there is skill out there to fix them so why not fix them.. I bet 1k buys the car.. ..
DCJosh
I say power wash it, air up the tires and drive the piss out of it. Not a concourse car, but still worth saving. Looks better then mine does! biggrin.gif

I believe they made the 1.8 and 2.0 in both '75 and '76.

I completely agree, Ancona Blue was a fantastic color.

DCJosh

Only 1/2 of '75 was for the '76 model year.

Only 2.0L were sold in '76 although some have claimed to have seen '76 1.8L cars, none has ever been positively identified.
