I still havent installed the shift rod on the car. I will try like hell to find the opportunity to get it in but if for some reason I can't, will the tranny stay in neutral or is there a possibility of it bouncing into gear? If so, I'll tow it ass first.

You should be okay, I have never had one shift into gear when towing.

You shouldn't ever have to worry about them popping into gear.

It's the popping out of gear when they're ready to blow that we worry about.

Dont tow it backend first. It wont pop into gear. I have towed a few with dollies and never had a problem. I use trailers now but I didnt always have that luxury.
