This is a "kit" to rebuild rebuild your seat bases. If yours look like most the factory paint is pretty crappy at this point. Now you can strip repaint and replace the bushings for your "new" seat bases.
Kit includes 4 bushings (2 seats worth) with option for the install tool. When I was playing around with test fitting these driving the roll pin was difficult with the spring there. This keeps your fingers out of the way and makes the assembly much easier.
$6.88 for the special tool and it's also in stainless! I'm sure you can find other uses for it too.
The Kit is 2 of the larger main bushings, 2 of the guide bushings and 2 roll pins $19.99.
So who's interested in a Saturday afternoon project?

Awesome. I need a couple.
Did you ever make the kit for the steering rack. I'd like to get this all in one order. Thanks.

The tool makes it easier to install keeping your fingers back away, and allowing you to leverage the pin into position and hammer it in.

http://shop.914rubber.com/Special-tool-for...m?categoryId=-1You may be able to reuse your drive pin, but they are a pain to get back in. So I made the tool. You need to keep tension on the spring as drive it in. This allows you to install much easier. I made it so you don't have to buy the package, maybe you only need to do one seat.... or you can get the whole enchilada!
Bon appetit
