Hello,
Does anyone know what type of bolts hold the fan-assembly on its shaft? Talking about item 10 in the graph 1.19 from Haynes Manual.
The 3 bolts that I removed are M8 x 1.25, but it appears to be wrong. The bolts jam up after only one turn. It looks like the pitch is different. Are these specialty bolts, or is there something wrong with the (3) bolt-holes?
The local hardware stores only sell M8 with 1.25mm pitch.

It is the little problems that hold me back the most.

First off, #10 is not one of three bolts, it a single that holds the hub to the crank. It is a special with a serrated washer profile that digs into the large washer/spacer next to it in the drawing, #11. It is an 8X1.25 though, 30MM long.

The 3 bolts you mentioned are probably drawn next to the fan. They are indeed 8X1.25, 45MM long. Nothing special about the head on them, but they should be un-threaded for 20MM. They are rated 10.8 as well, so not your common threaded-all-the way 8.8 hardware store crud.

They _are_ hard to thread into the hub by hand, but it's the threads on the hub that cause this. Once you use a wrench they go right in. Even so they should have a lock washer, IIRC.
