Just a feeler for making the hoses that many are cracked and broken, I know I have take 2 cars worth to make one good setup.

So obviously price is an issue, but assuming a reasonable price who could use a set? ($25 ish)

If there's enough interest I will pursue these.

Mark,

Check out a product called Copex, and my build thread.

They do a perfect match on size and appearance to the Porsche drain hose. It's much tougher than the original, thicker walled, very flexible and durable. (The PVC version without internal wire, they do different types the soft thin wall is too easy to crush or kink/fold, I found the PVC slightly rubbery version works best and is fully smooth on the inside so water runs through without being held in the helix)

Plus if you buy a 30m roll it works out about $1.50 a metre, so the cost per set for car airbox in the trunk would be around $3, or $5 if you included the drain hoses in the engine bay.

Thanks, There is a product at Home Depot that works, and I think I'll pick some up and add to the site so that you don't have to buy a full roll of it. But for the purists, and those that want a hose that is correct I'm trying to see what the market demand is for the "correct" hose. And yes, these use are the same as the engine compartment hoses. The difference is the hoses on the market are a roll extrued process, rather than a formed one. The "ribs" are not ribs on the current hose. Where the correct ones have actual ribs.

The 1" irrigation tubing is availabile at Lowes, Home Depot, etc. It does work but there are various manufacturers of it. The ribs are actually in a continuous spiral not circular ribs like the original tubing, are higher making the clamp installation difficult if not impossible. I broke several clamps trying to install them.
Yes correct tubing would be nice.

I would take 3 sets

I have two friends that want them as well so you could put me down for 5 sets total.

I might suggest including enough tubing to replace the engine drain tubes also as a drain tube kit.

Yes, These would be longer so that they can be used in the engine bay, which means that these would work for the air box also.

Not enough demand to make these but did source a better material-
Inexpensive too -
