Hi Guys,
I am try ing to remove the passenger seat on a 73 914. It slides forward and also has the tilt function...the Haynes has a crappy explanation....thanks in advance!

first bring the seat as tilted as you can
then bring it as forward as you can ,, there is a locking tab in the opposite rail that has the forward/backward lever,,, just feel in there and push upward, and pull slowly ( because fast will wack your finger)and keep pulling forward it will come off the track

It will leave the seat rails in...if you want it out in one piece you will need to unbolt them from the floor...

Slide a large flat blade screw driver in the rail opposit the lever and pull the seat out!

I used my fingers the first time... after I bandaged them up, I used a screwdriver...
