Anyway to disconnect the locking steering wheel mechanism on a 75 ??
When parked and the wheels are turned just a bit its a bitch to get it unlocked.

Yes, but it will require you remove the ignition switch and cut out the locking tab....not terribly difficult, just time consuming

Sometimes you have to jiggle the steering wheel a little to let the lock release.

.... plus try to remember to center the steering wheel once parked, & most of the built-in tire stress will be off the lock.

PS - hopefully you can escape the 100+ AV Heat on Saturday, & come by our OC Concours at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley! smile.gif

Thanks, started doing your steering wheel suggestion yesterday.
Going to have to pass on the OC event. Maybe next year.
