Have a volt meter? If not you need one! No excuses smile.gif

Basically looking for a line off the fuse block that is hot when the key is not in the ignition (and make sure the amp rating is within what the radio will demand, that should be in the manual)

If you listen to your radio with the engine off then you want both the main power and aux hot all the time.
PITA as you have to manually turn off/on your radio all the time, but the 914 ignition switch has no accessory and you will burn out your points and older ignitors, if you leave your key on without running the engine.

Not sure what you mean by low volt...

You have 0 volts or 12vdc (okay, it might be 13ish smile.gif )

Did the car not have a radio at all? Good chance the old harness is still up there if you have not looked yet.
