Full Version: Please help me ID this fog light

Picked this light up a few years ago on evil-bay. It was described as a Hella 118 dry.gif , but seller was wrong. The light is ~ 6" dia x 2 1/2" thick--a little too big for the space behind the horn grill on my 914. I'm trying to figure out what it belonged to--maybe an old Benz . . . or a Volvo 123GT? blink.gif

I'm not familiar with this type of bulb or wiring connector either--but both look pretty old. Maybe I can list this as "vintage" on ebay biggrin.gif

It will work on a 911 but I cannot tell you the model number.

Thanks! While it will work, this one (Hella 142?) is about +3/4" dia larger than the Hella 118 fog lights that were optional on the 911.  While "close enough" for the casual observer, probably not for the 911 CW . . .

FWIW, I found a picture of what looks to be the same light on a 1967 Volvo 123GT:
