This is NOT intended to hijack this thread....

I have an original battery cover...and I am pretty sure you will find one from our usual suspects. They do not seem to be that hard to find, there was a plethora of them available a while ago.

However, you may find yourself in the same dilemma as I. Once you get the battery cover, how do you affix it to the battery. You may be only "half there" (at least, I am).

I seem to recall having seen a picture somewhere of a battery, with cover, and some black rubber "bands", one on each side, strapping the cover to the base. Does someone have some insight on this AND if so, the second part of the question is...where can Marc (and, out of self interest) I, obtain whatever it takes to affix the cover.

The full coverage one was the furnished on a recall.
It was designed to eliminate the 'acid rinse' cycle.
