My dad is an engineer and says he has worked with carbon fiber and fiber glass to make houseings and what not for prototype things at work and what not. He sas he will help me make stuff if i can find a good kit that comes with the cloth and resin and all that good stuff. Does any one know were i can pick something like that up and for about how much?

Definitely go to the Aircraft Spruce website and get one of the 'free' catalogs, but I'd suggest getting the one for aircraft.
