Full Version: what happened to the p914 site

is this site down?? gone?? someplace else??
tweet
I've been trying to access it for days and the links don't connect
Tom_T
Someone else did a similar post asking about p914 as well, but IIRC there was no reply.

Maybe if Sir Andy or Steve M or one of the other members on here knows the site's owner, they could contact him to see what's up.

Perhaps he just for got to renew his web hosting contract!? smile.gif

It would be a shame to lose all the excellent 914 info from p914!

Anyone?? popcorn[1].gif

I posted that it was down over 6 weeks ago, and it hasn't reappeared since. . no info from any sources I could find on what happened. It was a nice place to check 914 info
on originality. .

What's the domain name / address? Must not be this one, as it's working for me:
http://www.p914.org/

I can open the site, but can not navigate to the pages once there?

Yes, this is the nature of the problem. The page links do not work.
Rand
Ah, my bad, I didn't dig deeper. I wasn't sure if that was the right domain. Looks like the problem is with the sister domain, p914.net

The domains aren't expired, it's the web server that's not responding. Which means their contact email (contactus@p914.net) isn't likely to work either.

The domain registrant info is private, so it's going to require somebody who knows who runs this site to get in touch with them. Back to you, Tom. smile.gif

The screwed up the links on their homepage!
rolleyes.gif

The links on the homepage all link to:
p914.com

when it should be:
p914.org

If you replace the .com in the homepage links with .org, the pages will show.

Not working:
http://www.p914.com/p914_badges.htm

Working:
http://www.p914.org/p914_badges.htm

OK - so at some point they changed domain from .com to .org then, cuz the .org works

Good to know about their as yet not updated hotlinks going bact to .com still - Thanx Andy!

So it's p914.org & fix their old/bad/dead links to .org in order to see stuff folks! biggrin.gif

Maybe their email will work with the .org change to the addy!!?? confused24.gif

Cheers! beerchug.gif

I just tried an email to all 3 flavors - .com .org & .net - the latter 2 of which bounced back to me, but not the .com (yet).

Is it Steve Martin on here with the Fourteener Magazine & calendars who also did p914 - or am I crossing up Steve's?? confused24.gif

I know my old email addy for p914.com was for "Steve at p914" - but I didn't save the last name.

Anyhoo, maybe the .com contact us will get thru & alert them to the old/dead links on the new .org website, & to post something on here when it's all fixed & working properly.
