Okay, I've read through the threads that I could find on this subject and it seems that if I am bolting a 2.7S to a '75 914-4 trans, that I can use the flywheel of a 2.0-6 on the 2.7 and use a 215mm clutch package, leaving the stock cable/pulley clutch actuation on the 901 in place.

My questions are:

1) Is this correct?
2) 215mm Stage 1 KEP kit is good for 220 ftlb torque (but it also comes with a 25% greater effort over stock) - figure this is a good idea?
3) what other options over the KEP 215mm Stage 1?

Thanks.

Answers

1 : yes, but the 2.7 timing marks are different then the 2.0 (do a search)
2 : doesn't hurt but you'll be putting more stress on the clutch tube.
3 : I've used a stock and center force setup in the past without any issues.

Yes
The stage 2 PP will be a bit stiff, only a big deal if you drive in city and/or a lot of stop and go, or you have physical difficulties.

The other option is the later/6 flat flywheel and KEP adaptor that uses the 228mm bus PP and disc.
