Found out why I lost 1st & reverse & got lots of slop all of a sudden.....soft plastic bushings in the shifter u joint fell out after years of abuse. Anyone recognize this unit & who sells parts?

Yes, that is a steering U-joint.

No plastic bushing, no cone screw, easy to disassemble, and you probably have one laying around in you rspare parts.

Yup, that's the U-joint from a 73-76 side-shift linkage. You'll want the bushings for that. Press the pin in the middle out (careful with the cage, it's not super strong!) and place the bushings in from the inside. Then press the pin back in again.
