Can someone please advise and or confirm an early VW jack will work on 1970-1971 early model car?

Attached is a pic of an early 914 trunk with the correct jack and a pic of an early VW jack that appear the same.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!!

Not the same.
The Porsche jack has two receivers for the handle. One for up, one for down.
The VW jack has one.
And that's just the beginning.
But......it'll work !

PS is that junky blue car for sale ?

Thanks for the reply rgalla9146.

That junky blue car does not belong to me and also wish it was for sale!

Thanks again

Paul, thanks for the pic!! Beautiful car from what I can see!

What you need to remember, if you don't know already, is that these jacks are very dangerous. They can kick out unexpectedly on uneven ground. I carry a standard scissor Jack and a jack receiver thingy for safety.

It's exactly the same jack that came with my 1970 Ghia so find a VW one at a swap meet.
