In the engine bay of my '76 2.0, I was reaching around, from the left side of the car, between the engine and the firewall near the fan and felt this loose oval cover piece and pulled it out. (First picture). I can see an identical oval plastic part already covering an oval hole in the fan shroud area on the left side of the engine near the firewall (second picture), but I can not find another oval hole to put this one in, nor understand why it was loose in the fan area. Anyone know where it might go?

Full Version: Nevermind, got it! What is this part
It goes in the tin just ahead of and around the corner from the one pictured. These covers are removed to access the alt belt adjuster bolt.
